Dessert Companies was founded in 2008 by Graham Dessert, who has an extensive back ground in painting having started painting houses 16 years ago in high school as a summer job. The job steadily grew into a career for Graham as he went through college and started his own business in 2001, growing his employee base from 1 to 31 employees and painting hundreds of homes. Graham closed his business down in 2004 to work for a national painting company as a franchise developer. Graham developed the experience of hiring, training, and developing hundreds of employees. He learned the importance of outstanding customer service and outstanding workmanship. He also has experience and a background in roof replacement, fiber-cement siding installation, stucco and stone projects, guttering, and fiberglass blown-in insulation. Now, Graham is a seasoned business professional and contractor ready to take on any project.
Graham grew up in a large, Catholic, military family that moved to the Leavenworth area in 1993. He graduated from Immaculata High School in 1998 and played four years of college football at both Simpson College in Iowa and University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth. Graham graduated from Saint Mary with a Bachelors Degree in Business and History in 2008. Graham is married with four children and resides in Leavenworth.
“What I like about this part of the country is that it is a great place to raise a family. I come from a large family of ten children and have four of my own, so living in a good community with great people is very important to me”, says Graham. “I view the home as a safe haven for a family. I feel that way about my own home and that’s how I see it for my customers. And for that home to be truly safe, it must be strong, resilient, and endure harsh conditions. It needs the proper protection. This is my motivation for Dessert Companies.”
